Peter Grimyser

Peter Grimyser is an experienced security and investigations professional whose career spans more than 27 years in law enforcement, leadership, and public service. Throughout his time in the field, he has earned a reputation for ethical leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate challenging situations with professionalism and composure.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice from Marian University in 1998, providing the educational foundation for a career focused on public safety, risk management, and community service.

Peter dedicated most of his law enforcement career to the University of Wisconsin–Madison Police Department, where he served for 27 years and retired as a Detective/Sergeant. In that role, he supervised investigations, responded to critical incidents, collaborated with a wide range of stakeholders, and provided leadership during complex and sensitive situations. Earlier in his career, he also served as a part-time officer with the Cottage Grove Police Department, expanding his experience in community policing and public safety.

Now semi-retired, Peter continues his commitment to service by volunteering with the American Red Cross, reflecting his longstanding dedication to supporting others beyond his law enforcement career.

Over the course of his career, Peter has led complex operations, managed multidisciplinary teams, and overseen high-risk initiatives with a strategic and disciplined approach. He is recognized for his ability to remain calm under pressure, foster accountability, and build trust through integrity, clear communication, and consistent leadership.

In addition to his investigative and supervisory responsibilities, Peter frequently advised organizational leadership on issues involving risk management, incident response, and sensitive matters affecting personnel, assets, and institutional reputation.
